Perhaps it was worthwhile after all… :)
Well, after my last post I got a nice e-mail from Andi Gutmans regarding my request to work with Zend on the Zend Framework. The result of that e-mail and the ensueing conversation is that I will now be working on the Zend Framework within the next couple of days!
I am very excited about the prospect of working with the folks at Zend on the framework, and can’t wait to get stuck in.
I obviously can’t release any information that they don’t want released, and thats fine, I like to keep people in suspense ![]()
I will however, endeavour to keep my eyes on the community to see what you guys need and try to impart on the rest of the team – though I know there is a lot of this going on already, one more set of eyes can’t hurt!
Heres to Zend Framework, the future of PHP (and perhaps all) Web Development! Move over Ruby on Rails ![]()

@dshafik Anytime tools are released that give just anyone the ability to do something without coding, programmers see a pay cut in contracts

@fasterkitty I think that depends on the quality of the apps the Flash folks put out...

@fasterkitty from what I hear, they are already culling apps that violate the Desktop/Widget rule. For example: http://bit.ly/cb3l0B

Looking for a design, thinking of using 99designs; unless someone I know wants to do some work for me? (for pay!)
